Join Me Dude!

"Join Me Dude!" is our game for the GMTK Gamejam 2021.

Objective:

You have to help plant lots of dandelion flowers on a small planet. Collect as many dandelion seeds as possible while falling down and land on a fertile spot (not in the water or on a stone). The more seeds you plant, the more new flowers will grow, helping you fill the entire planet with more dandelions on your next try. When a large part of the planet is filled, you win the level.

The flight mechanic itself is pretty simple and if we had more time we would have invested it in fine-tuning that. We thought about adding enemies messing around with you (ladybugs, frogs, spiders and webs), different wind settings and gusts of wind, different planets, flying formations of your seeds, lots of cute animations... but this is all a little too much for only 48 hours in a gamejam. :)

Controls:

• WASD - Steer in any direction while falling
• Shift - Hold to fall quicker
• Space - Blow the dandelion and start the game
